Preview Roundups
June 25, 2017
Baltimore at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles ended one dubious streak in the second game of the series and can put a halt to another when they visit the Tampa Bay Rays for the finale on Sunday afternoon. The Orioles had matched a major league record by allowing five runs in 20 consecutive games before right-hander Dylan Bundy led them to an 8-3 victory Saturday, putting them on the brink of their first road series win since mid-April.
Chi. Cubs at Miami 1:10 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs look to wrap up a third straight series victory, and perhaps regain the National League Central lead, when they conclude a four-game road set against the Miami Marlins on Sunday. The Cubs haven’t won three consecutive series since late-April.

Minnesota at Cleveland 1:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins looked as though they might be fading out of the American League Central race last weekend but have steadied the ship by rebounding to win four of five contests since. The Twins can move back into first place Sunday afternoon if they complete three-game sweep of the host Cleveland Indians - the same team that swept four from them at home a week ago.
Cincinnati at Washington 1:35 PM ET
The worst thing for a struggling pitching staff in the National League is a date with the Washington Nationals, and the Cincinnati Reds are not putting up much of a fight. The Reds will try to get some length out of their starter and avoid another sweep when they visit the Nationals in the finale of a three-game set on Sunday.
LA Angels at Boston 1:35 PM ET
Veteran Doug Fister was hoping to be back in the majors before July, just a few weeks after signing a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels. That time has arrived for Fister but not in the manner he planned - he will instead be taking the mound for the Boston Red Sox on Sunday in the rubber match of a three-game series versus the Angels.
Milwaukee at Atlanta 1:35 PM ET
The National League Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers are one of three NL teams outside the West with a winning record, but the Atlanta Braves are making a bid to join that crowd. The Braves will try to pull within one game of .500 and polish off a series sweep Sunday when they host the Brewers in the 10th and final contest of their homestand.
Texas at NY Yankees 2:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees are in danger of losing their fourth straight series - all against American League West teams - as they enter the finale of a three-game set against the visiting Texas Rangers on Sunday. Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Rangers was the most lopsided of the Yankees' current 2-9 slide, as the club managed just five hits and saw its bullpen struggle once more.
Oakland at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
There's a youth movement in Oakland and the Athletics hope it keeps going in the right direction when they try for a three-game sweep of the White Sox in Chicago on Sunday. Oakland became the second team in major league history to boast three players hitting their first career home runs in the same game when right fielder Matt Olson (two), center fielder Jaycob Brugman and second baseman Franklin Barreto all went deep in the Athletics' 10-2 victory Saturday.
Toronto at Kansas City 2:15 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals own a winning record for the first time this season and have no plans to go backward. The Royals will try to continue their climb above .500 and complete a three-game sweep when they host the Toronto Blue Jays in the finale of a six-game homestand on Sunday.
NY Mets at San Francisco 4:05 PM ET
The New York Mets can complete just their second series sweep of the season when they wrap up a three-game set at the woeful San Francisco Giants on Sunday afternoon. After getting pulverized by the National League West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers, the Mets are trying to get well at the expense of the division's worst team.
Colorado at LA Dodgers 4:10 PM ET
Everything is coming up roses for the streaking Los Angeles Dodgers, who have won nine straight games and 15 of their last 16 heading into their series finale against the visiting Colorado Rockies on Sunday. The Dodgers also appear to have avoided a major injury to star shortstop Corey Seager, who was diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his right hamstring but could return in as soon as 3-4 days.
Houston at Seattle 4:10 PM ET
Aside from a clunker in the series opener, the Houston Astros have had a near-perfect road trip against a pair of American League West rivals. Houston looks to conclude the seven-game trek in winning fashion when it visits the Seattle Mariners on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game set.
Philadelphia at Arizona 4:10 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks got off to a rough start on their 10-game homestand but evened things out with a convincing victory on Saturday. Arizona attempts to record its fourth win in five overall contests when it continues its four-game series against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday.
Detroit at San Diego 4:40 PM ET

The Detroit Tigers have lost a season-high eight straight games and fallen into last place in the American League Central, but manager Brad Ausmus isn’t about to give up. The Tigers will turn to Jordan Zimmermann on Sunday as they look to salvage the finale of their three-game series against the host San Diego Padres.

Pittsburgh at St. Louis 8:05 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals were the very definition of a .500 team over the first two months of the season - a mark they won't be able to reach in June even if they turn things around and win out. The Cardinals hope to avoid a sweep at the hands of the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, when the National League Central rivals wrap up their three-game series.
