Mike Fontenot and Derrek Lee each had an RBI in the 10th inning to spark the Chicago Cubs to a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers in an interleague matchup Saturday in Arlington.

After Tyler Colvin doubled to lead off the 10th for Chicago and Kosuke Fukudome followed with a single, Fontenot was called on to pinch hit and he came through with a single to right to plate Colvin and give the Cubs a 4-3 lead.

Derrek Lee grounded into a fielder’s choice and Fukudome came across to score and extend Chicago's lead to 5-3. It proved to be an important run as Texas did not go quietly in the bottom of the frame.

Carlos Marmol pitched the 10th for Chicago, allowing one run and one hit with a walk and a strikeout to pick up his eighth save of the season. Sean Marshall (4-1) retired two batters in the ninth to record the win.

Darren O'Day (1-2) took the loss as he yielded two runs and three hits in the 10th without recording an out.

Alfonso Soriano and Starlin Castro homered to help the Cubs open up a 3-1 lead after three.

Vladimir Guerrero and Nelson Cruz each hit solo shots in the fourth for Texas to forge a 3-3 tie. Neither team scored again until the 10th.
