Randy Wolf pitched eight shutout innings, outdueling Ted Lilly as the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers won for the 17th time in 19 games by topping the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0 on Monday night.

Ryan Braun, Jonathan Lucroy and Corey Hart hit solo homers to help the Brewers stretch their lead in the National League Central to six games over second-place St. Louis.

Milwaukee also improved to 45-15 at Miller Park, easily the best home record in the major leagues.

Wolf (10-8) allowed six hits and five walks but was aided by some stellar defense as the Brewers turned a triple play in the second inning and four double plays.

Jerry Hairston Jr. had a pair of outfield assists from center field, including nailing Dioner Navarro at home in the third.

Lilly (7-13) gave up just two hits and a pair of walks, but one of the hits was a big one. Braun’s solo shot to left-center field with two out in the fourth inning provided the only run that Wolf would need.

John Axford pitched the ninth inning for his 35th save.
