Jamey Carroll and Aaron Miles combined to reach base 10 times as the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers knocked out a season-high 18 hits in their 11-7 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.
Ted Lilly (5-5) gave up one run on four hits over five innings and improved to 7-1 in his last nine starts against the Rockies, who pulled within a run after scoring five times in the eighth.
Before leaving with a stiff lower back, Jason Hammel (3-6) allowed three runs – two earned – on seven hits and four walks over five innings.
The Dodgers scored four runs in the ninth inning off Matt Lindstrom to snap a three-game losing streak. Los Angeles won for the first time at Coors Field in five games this season.
Colorado, which has scored 27 runs in its last four games, failed in its bid to get back to .500 for the first time since May 25.
The Rockies left the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth when Tony Gwynn Jr. made a diving catch in left field on a ball hit by Charlie Blackmon.
