Red Sox 7, Marlins 5: David Ortiz and Kelly Shoppach swatted two-run homers as host Boston won a slugfest to move back above .500.

Cody Ross added a solo blast in his first game back from the disabled list to help a shaky Clay Buchholz win his fourth consecutive start.

Buchholz (8-2) allowed five runs on nine hits in six innings to beat Miami for the second time in eight days and Alfredo Aceves earned his 17th save as the Red Sox won for the fifth time in six games.

Logan Morrison had a career-high five RBIs - all coming with two outs - on a two-run homer and a pair of doubles off Buchholz, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Marlins from dropping to 2-11 in their last 13 games.

Marlins starter Mark Buehrle (5-8) lost his fourth straight start, giving up six runs on seven hits and three homers in five innings.

After Morrison went deep in the first inning, Ortiz walloped his 17th homer in the bottom of the frame and Shoppach drilled a two-run homer in the second for a 4-2 lead.

Morrison's second double plated two runs in the fifth to tie it at 5-5, but the Red Sox went ahead to stay on Adrian Gonzalez's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning before Will Middlebrooks added an RBI double in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Red Sox 2B Dustin Pedroia left the game with an apparent injury to his right hand after an at-bat in the seventh inning. ... Morrison's RBI outburst represented one fewer than he had in the entire month of May. ... Boston placed OF Scott Podsednik (groin) on the 15-day disabled list and activated Ross from the DL. Ross had been on the DL since May 22 with a fractured bone in his left foot. Podsednik was hurt in Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs. ... Buehrle surrendered three homers in a game for the first time since July 12, 2009. ... LHP Franklin Morales will make a second straight start for the Red Sox on Saturday against Atlanta. Morales struck out nine and allowed two runs in five innings while making a spot start for Josh Beckett on Sunday.
