Mets 8, Phillies 0: David Wright had four extra-base hits and Matt Harvey pitched six shutout innings as visiting New York took two out of three from Philadelphia.

Wright homered, tripled and doubled twice as New York had nine extra-base hits overall. Harvey, Eric Young Jr. and Wright each had run-scoring doubles in a three-run fifth inning and Wright capped his day with a ninth-inning homer.

Harvey (7-1) struck out six and allowed two hits and one walk while improving to 3-0 in four career starts against the Phillies. He didn’t return after a 20-minute rain delay and two relievers completed a four-hit shutout.

Marlon Byrd had a first-inning sacrifice fly prior to New York’s three-run fifth. Juan Lagares added a run-scoring double and Omar Quintanilla hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth to make it 6-0, and Byrd had a run-scoring double off the glove of Philadelphia’s Ben Revere in deep center in the seventh.

John Lannan (0-2) allowed six runs (four earned) and eight hits in five innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Byrd had two of New York’s seven doubles and the Mets finished with 12 hits. … Phillies OF Domonic Brown went hitless in three at-bats and has failed to homer in his last 13 games following a stretch in which he homered 11 times in a 15-game span. … Harvey tossed only 72 pitches before departing and is 5-0 in seven road starts this season.
