Nick Lodolo tossed seven innings of two-hit ball, Noelvi Marte had three hits and three RBIs and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Colorado Rockies 8-1 in Denver on Sunday to sweep the three-game series.

Spencer Steer, Elly De La Cruz, Gavin Lux, Jose Trevino and Austin Hays finished with two hits each for Cincinnati, which totaled 14 hits and has matched a season high with four straight wins.

Lodolo (3-2) got through 5 2/3 innings without giving up a hit until Jordan Beck legged out an infield single to shortstop.

The Reds appealed the call but it was confirmed upon review, ending the bid for their first no-hitter since Wade Miley tossed one on May 7, 2021, at Cleveland.

Kyle Farmer singled in the seventh and Alan Trejo, acquired from Texas on Saturday, led off the eighth with a single and scored on Beck's sacrifice fly.

Lodolo struck out nine, walked one and hit a batter in his longest outing of 2025.

Colorado lost its sixth in a row and is 4-23, the worst start in franchise history. The Rockies are 3-9 at home and have been swept in five of their nine series this season.

The Reds jumped on righty Bradley Blalock, who was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to make his first major league start and third appearance this season.

With one out in the first, Steer and De La Cruz singled and both moved up on a wild pitch. Steer scored on Hays' groundout to second, and Lux doubled to bring home De La Cruz.

Marte made it 3-0 with a single and Jake Fraley walked, but Jeimer Candelario popped out to end the 35-pitch top of the first.

Cincinnati sent nine batters to the plate in the fifth to extend its lead. Trevino and TJ Friedl opened with singles and Steer walked to load the bases. Jimmy Herget relieved Blalock and was called for a balk on his first offering, bringing home a run.

De La Cruz hit a sacrifice fly, Hays had an RBI single and scored on Marte's double.

Blalock (0-1) allowed six runs on seven hits in four-plus innings. He walked two and struck out one.
