Francisco Lindor hit a two-out, two-run double in the ninth inning, Juan Soto had three hits, and the New York Mets beat the Colorado Rockies 4-2 in Denver on Friday night.

Lindor, who wasn't in the starting lineup due to a fractured toe, pinch-hit in the ninth with Soto and Pete Alonso on base. Lindor doubled off Zach Agnos (0-2) to bring home both runners, with Alonso sliding around the tag of catcher Hunter Goodman.

Starling Marte had two hits, Ryne Stanek (2-4) picked up the win and Edwin Diaz earned his 14th save for New York.

Mickey Moniak homered and finished with two hits and Ryan Ritter tripled in his major league debut for Colorado, which had its three-game winning streak stopped.

Moniak gave the Rockies the lead with a one-out home run in the third inning, his sixth of the season, the only run off starter Kodai Senga, who struck out six over six innings.

Antonio Senzatela kept it 1-0 with four-plus innings in relief of Ryan Rolison, who pitched the first inning as the opener for Colorado.

The Mets chased Senzatela after he walked Alonso and Jeff McNeil to open the sixth, which brought in Jake Bird for the bullpen.

Bird hit Tyrone Taylor to load the bases but recovered. He caught Brett Baty looking for the first out, went 3-1 on Francisco Alvarez before striking him out and then fanned Ronny Mauricio on three pitches to get out of the jam without allowing a run.

New York broke through against Tyler Kinley in the seventh. With one out Marte and Soto singled up the middle and Alonso followed with a double to the gap in left-center field to bring home both runners.

The Rockies tied it in the seventh when Sam Hilliard tripled to right and scored on Moniak's single. They loaded the bases with no outs in the eighth, but Ryan McMahon lined into a double play and Brenton Doyle struck out swinging to keep it tied.
