MAVERICKS 95, GRIZZLIES 85: Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 points and Dallas used a 21-4 run in the fourth quarter to defeat visiting Memphis.

The Grizzlies, who were trying to become the fifth team this season to win all three games of a back-to-back-to-back set, were held to 34 points in the second half as they saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Memphis led 73-68 early in the fourth quarter before Dallas scored the next 10 points. Shawn Marion sparked the surge with a layup, two free throws and a jumper. The run continued and the Mavericks took an 89-77 lead with 3:01 to play.

Marion scored 16 points and Jason Terry had 15 for the Mavericks.

O.J. Mayo led Memphis with 17 points while Mike Conley added 11.

Dallas played its second straight game without point guard Jason Kidd, who has a strained right groin.

Tony Allen left the game in the fourth quarter after Mayo poked him in the face. Allen was on the floor for several seconds and held a towel to his face as he walked to the locker room.

: The Grizzlies defeated Oklahoma City on Monday and beat Golden State on Wednesday. ... Marc Gasol recorded his 23rd double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. ...
