Rotnei Clarke hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points as Arkansas held off a stubborn Texas Southern squad for a 67-59 victory Wednesday night in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Tigers (2-8) rallied from an early 10-point deficit to take a 35-33 lead into halftime.
After Arkansas used a 12-1 run to pull back in front 60-49 with 8:31 left, Texas Southern roared back again, cutting the gap to 62-59 on a Kevin Galloway 3-pointer at the 3:03 mark.
Glenn Bryant countered with a dunk for the Razorbacks (8-2), and Texas Southern managed four missed shots and three turnovers on its final seven trips, squandering any opportunity to complete its upset bid.
Travele Jones led the Tigers with 15 points, but committed six of his team's 20 turnovers. Bryant finished with 11 points off the bench for Arkansas.
