Peyton Siva and Mike Marra scored 14 points apiece as No. 23 Louisville rolled over Seton Hall 73-54 in the Big East on Wednesday.
Preston Knowles had eight points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Cardinals (12-2, 1-0 Big East).
Louisville had its pressure defense working in the first half, and held Seton Hall to 7-of-31 shooting before the break and forced nine turnovers. The Cardinals jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first six minutes and stretched it to 24-2 when Marra nailed a 3-pointer midway through the period.
The Pirates recovered a bit, but Louisville still went into the locker room with a 36-21 cushion.
The Cardinals began the second half with a 13-4 run and pushed the lead to as much as 28 when Marra was fouled on a 3-point attempt and hit all three free throws at the 12:22 mark.
After playing 13 of its first 14 games at home, Louisville will hit the road for two straight - South Florida on Sunday and No. 7 Villanova on Jan. 12.
Fuquan Edwin scored 18 points for the Pirates (7-8, 1-2), who host No. 4 Syracuse on Saturday.
