Mike Krzyzewski tied the record for career coaching victories when Duke beat Presbyterian 96-55 on Saturday.

Coach K won his 902nd game, which ties him with Bob Knight for first place. The Blue Devils could set the record for their coach with a win over Michigan State on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

The Blue Devils (2-0) showed improvement from its one-point opening night win over Belmont. In the opener Duke got ahead by 16 and could not put the game away. On Saturday the Devils had no trouble getting separation and stretched the lead to 53-30 by halftime.

Duke had six players in double figures, led by Ryan Kelly, who came off the bench to score 17 points. Other points came from freshman Austin Rivers (15 points, six assists), Miles Plumlee (13 points, 11 rebounds), Mason Plumlee (13 points, nine rebounds), Quinn Cook (12 points) and Seth Curry (10 points).

Presbyterian (1-1) got 11 points and five rebounds from Al’Lonzo Coleman and 10 points from Pierre Miler.

Duke is now 2-0 against Presbyterian and 30-9 all-time against teams from the Big South Conference.
