Harrison Barnes led North Carolina with 17 points, and John Henson added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Evansville junior swingman Colt Ryan, the second-leading scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference, was held to nine points on 1-of-11 shooting. Denver Holmes led the Aces with 14.
UNC (7-2) improved to 3-0 all-time against Evansville (3-4), all three meetings coming in the last four seasons.
