Andre Young scored 19 points as Clemson shook off a slow start and cruised to a 71-60 over visiting Wake Forest on Saturday in the 152nd meeting between the two schools.
Young, who scored a career-high 29 points in the previous game, made three 3-pointers and had five assists as the Tigers (11-9, 3-3 ACC) won their second straight.
Devin Booker chipped in with 16 points, Tanner Smith had 13 and Bryan Narcisse 11 for Clemson, which had a 19-4 edge in points off turnovers.
Wake Forest’s C.J. Harris had 19 points and Travis McKie added 13 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double. The Demon Deacons (11-10, 2-5 ACC) have lost five of six.
Clemson coach Brad Brownell captured his 200th career victory in his 10th season. Brownell, who coached at Wright State and UNC-Wilmington before arriving at Clemson last season, is 200-106 overall.
The Tigers made just one of their first 15 shots to fall behind 12-4 early on, but turned up the defense and shot 65 percent the rest of the way for a 36-29 halftime lead. Smith, who drained a 3-pointer to end the half, had 10 points in the opening 20 minutes.
