MARYLAND 81, BOSTON COLLEGE 65: Terrell Stoglin scored 19 of his game-high 24 points in the first half to lead Maryland to the easy win. Stoglin, who scored only 13 points in the last game against Duke, made 5 of 8 3-pointers and surpassed the 20-point mark for the 18th time this season.
Maryland (15-10, 5-6 ACC) got 15 points and eight rebounds from James Padgett, 14 points and six assists from Nick Faust, and 13 points and four rebounds from Sean Mosley.
Boston College (8-18, 3-9 ACC) was led by freshmen Ryan Anderson (22 points, 10 rebounds) and Lonnie Jackson (19 points). Dennis Clifford added 11 points and five rebounds, but the Eagles shot only 32.8 percent from the field.
Boston College came out hot and had a 10-4 lead with 16:08 remaining, but Maryland responded by outscoring the Eagles 23-10 over the next eight minutes and led 41-27 at the half.
