CINCINNATI 60, LOUISVILLE 56: Cashmere Wright knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead Cincinnati to an upset over the No. 17 Cardinals and propel the Bearcats into a three-way tie for fourth place in the Big East.
The Bearcats (20-8, 10-5 Big East) won it from the perimeter thanks to 11 3-pointers. Wright was 8 for 19 from the field with five rebounds and five assists. Sean Kilpatrick scored 12 points and Dion Dixon scored 11 with each player making a pair of treys. Dixon put the game out of reach by making a free throw with 14 seconds left to give Cincinnati a four-point lead.
Louisville (21-7, 9-6 Big East) was cold from the floor, making only 34.5 percent and connecting on only 1 of 13 of its 3-point tries. Peyton Siva scored 14 with five rebounds and four assists and Gorgui Dieng had 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Cardinals.
Cincinnati took the lead 46-45 on a Dixon dunk that sparked a 13-2 run and put the Bearcats in front to stay.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati is how 7-3 in its last 10 games against ranked opponents. The Bearcats have won the last three meetings with Louisville. ...
