Missouri 90, Baylor 75: Tournament MVP Kim English made five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead the No. 5 Tigers past the 11th-ranked Bears for the Big 12 title in their final season in the conference.
Missouri (30-4), which is scheduled to depart for the SEC next year, beat Baylor (27-7) for the third time this season and put itself in contention for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Michael Dixon added 17 points off the bench for the Tigers, who led 43-37 at halftime and by double digits for most of the second half.
Perry Jones III had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bears, who still haven’t won a league title since 1950, when they earned a share of the Southwest Conference crown.
Ricardo Ratliffe and Marcus Denmon had 11 first-half points apiece to help Missouri gain the halftime edge before the Tigers opened a 56-42 lead when Matt Pressey tipped in Denmon's miss on a fast break with 15:45 left.
The Bears tried to claw their way back and eventually pulled within 77-72 in the last three minutes, but Missouri made 10 straight free throws to secure the victory.
GAME NOTEBOOK: This was a rematch of the 2009 Big 12 tournament final, which Missouri also won 73-60. … Baylor has lost 12 straight to the Tigers in the state of Missouri dating back to 1948. … Missouri, which ranks third nationally in field goal percentage, shot 54 percent.
