Louisiana State 72, Seton Hall 67: Shavon Coleman scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half as the host Tigers rallied from 16 points down in the second half to top the Pirates in the SEC-Big East Challenge.
Johnny O'Bryant III had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Louisiana State (5-0). Anthony Hickey added 10 points and six steals, including four in the final seven-plus minutes to spark the comeback.
Brandon Mobley scored all but two of his 17 points in the first half for Seton Hall (5-2), which crumbled down the stretch. The Pirates committed 10 turnovers and scored just three baskets in their last 15 possessions.
Seton Hall led by as many as nine in the first half and increased its advantage to 46-30 when Gene Teague scored on a layup with 17:22 remaining. LSU slowly chipped away and finally reclaimed the lead at 60-58 on a Coleman layup with 6:09 left.
Malik Morgan hit a 3-pointer seconds later to make it a five-point advantage for the Tigers. Following a spurt by Seton Hall, Coleman's hook shot in the lane gave LSU the lead for good at 65-64 with 2:20 left. The Pirates committed turnovers on their next five possessions, and free throws by the Tigers iced it.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Seton Hall had 26 turnovers. ... The Tigers missed their first seven shots before Hickey hit a jumper 4:47 into the contest. ... Teague had 14 points and six rebounds.
