No. 16 Cincinnati 58, Alabama 56: Cashmere Wright made a jumper just before the buzzer as the host Bearcats remained unbeaten with a win over the Crimson Tide in the Big East/SEC Challenge.
Cincinnati forward Justin Jackson blocked Trevor Releford's shot with 11 seconds remaining, setting up the final sequence. After a pair of timeouts, Wright, who finished with eight points, converted the game-winner.
Sean Kilpatrick and JaQuon Parker paced the Bearcats with 13 points each while Jackson and Cheikh Mbodj blocked for shots apiece for the Bearcats (7-0).
Alabama (6-1), which rallied from a 13-point first half deficit, took its first lead with 14:16 left on a jumper with Trevor Lacey, who scored a game-high 16 points.
The Crimson Tide led 56-54 after Releford's layup with 49 seconds left, but Kilpatrick responded with his own layup to knot it again.
NOTEBOOK: Kilpatrick and Wright both went over the 1,000-point mark. It is the first time since 1996 that Cincinnati had two players reach the milestone in the same game. ... The Bearcats are 3-0 all-time in the Big East/SEC Challenge. ... Alabama, which averages 18 turnovers forced per game, only turned Cincinnati over 11 times.
