No. 20 Memphis 86, Alabama-Birmingham 71: Chris Crawford's 20 points led five players in double figures and the host Tigers became the fifth Conference USA team to go undefeated through league play.
Geron Johnson scored 19 points for Memphis (27-4, 16-0 C-USA) while Joe Jackson amassed 17 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. D.J. Stephens - one of the four seniors honored prior to tip-off of the regular-season finale - compiled 13 points and eight boards.
UAB (15-16, 7-9) got 19 points from Jordan Swing and 16 from Rod Rucker, who combined to shoot 14-of-31 from the floor. The duo tallied exactly half of the Blazers' field goals made and attempted.
Memphis led 43-28 at halftime and appeared to be in control, but UAB opened the second half on a 16-2 run to pull within 45-44 on a 3-pointer by Swing with 14:41 remaining. The Tigers answered with a 15-2 run and led by double figures for the remainder.
Memphis defeated UAB for the 13th consecutive time.
