Preview Roundups
March 04, 2017
Detroit at Philadelphia 6:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons will search for some consistency on the offensive end when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. After a 114-108 overtime win over Charlotte on Feb. 23, the Pistons dipped to 98 points in a loss to Boston, scored 120 to defeat Portland and then sagged to 86 in a 23-point loss at New Orleans on Wednesday.
Toronto at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
DeMar DeRozan seems intent on not letting a major injury to a fellow All-Star hurt the Toronto Raptors' chances for a strong finish. DeRozan will try to build off another outstanding performance when he and the Raptors continue a five-game road trip at the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.
Cleveland at Miami 8:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat aim to continue their impressive home winning streak against Cleveland on Saturday when they seek their 12th consecutive victory over the Cavaliers at AmericanAirlines Arena in the first of a home-and-home set. Cleveland's last win in Miami was a 92-91 decision Jan. 25, 2010 when LeBron James was on his first tour of duty with the Cavaliers, prior to his departure to the Heat for four seasons.
L.A. Clippers at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls looked as though they were fading out of playoff contention and might trade their leading scorer a few weeks ago, but suddenly they are one of the hottest teams in the league. The Bulls, who beat the two conference leaders in a six-day span recently, go after their sixth win in seven games Saturday night when they entertain the struggling Los Angeles Clippers.
Charlotte at Denver 9:00 PM ET
Nikola Jokic's return to form as a budding star is putting the Denver Nuggets back in the win column and helping the team hold off a host of challengers for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference. Jokic will attempt to post his third straight triple-double when the Nuggets host the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
Memphis at Houston 9:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets, armed with the philosophy to shoot 3-pointers and ask questions later, try to keep their juggernaut rolling when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. Houston set a franchise record by scoring at least 100 points in its 48th straight game in Wednesday's 122-103 thrashing of the Clippers in Los Angeles, and also became the first team in NBA history with nine games of 20 or more 3-pointers in a season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Minnesota at San Antonio 9:00 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs strive to defeat Minnesota for the 10th consecutive time when they host the Timberwolves on Saturday. Star forward Kawhi Leonard averaged 32.5 points as the Spurs won this season's first two meetings by an average of 11 points.
Brooklyn at Portland 10:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers might have saved their season with their last victory and now look to win consecutive games for the first time since a three-game winning streak in late January when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. Portland outfought Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-109 on Thursday for only their third victory in the past 10 games as they keep attempting to make up ground on the eighth-place Denver Nuggets for the final Western Conference playoff spot.
