Preview Roundups
February 13, 2018
Georgetown at Butler 6:30 PM ET
Unable to topple the two giants of the Big East, Butler will have to settle for a chance at a season sweep of visiting Georgetown in Tuesday's conference game. The Bulldogs played well against No. 4 Xavier and No. 2 Villanova but couldn't close the deal, something it was able to do in the first meeting with the Hoyas, who've let more than a few wins slip away this season.
Boston College at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET
Boston College will try to build upon perhaps its most dramatic win of the season when it visits last-place Pittsburgh for an ACC matchup Tuesday night. The Eagles scored the final nine points of a 72-70 win Saturday over Miami - which was ranked 25th at the time - to inch closer to the middle of the pack in the ACC with six games to play, five of which will come against teams that are .500 or worse in the conference.
Maryland at Nebraska 7:00 PM ET
Although Nebraska is about as hot of a team as the Big Ten has in what has been a down season for the conference, Tim Miles' squad needs to keep winning if it hopes to rest easy on Selection Sunday. The Cornhuskers eye a sixth straight league victory for the first time since the end of the 1997-98 campaign Tuesday when they host Maryland.
Texas A&M at Missouri 7:00 PM ET

Missouri hopes to extend its longest winning streak during conference play since joining the SEC when it hosts equally hot Texas A&M on Tuesday. Both teams have posted four consecutive wins to bolster their NCAA Tournament hopes.

Arkansas at Mississippi 7:00 PM ET
Arkansas is starting to play the kind of defense that could lead to an NCAA Tournament berth - but Tuesday night's encounter with Ole Miss is a whole different test. The Razorbacks enjoyed their biggest scoring output in conference play in their first game against the Rebels, but also allowed what was a season high in points at the time.
Kansas at Iowa State 7:00 PM ET
The Big 12 standings suggest Kansas is playing as well as any team in the conference at the moment, but don't count coach Bill Self among those buying into that logic. Coming off their most lopsided defeat of the season, the 13th-ranked Jayhawks attempt to avoid consecutive league losses for the first time since 2012-13 on Tuesday when they visit Iowa State.
Oklahoma at Texas Tech 7:00 PM ET
Sixth-ranked Texas Tech is experiencing a magical season and looks to retain its lead in the Big 12 when it hosts No. 23 Oklahoma on Tuesday. The Red Raiders are 15-0 at home this season and hold a one-game edge over Kansas in the conference race as they look to avenge last month's road loss to the Sooners.
Bemidji State at Creighton 8:00 PM ET
In its last two games, Creighton has experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in a pair of one-point outcomes. The Bluejays hope for a more comfortable result - and a win, naturally - when they host Division II foe Bemidji State on Tuesday.
Richmond at Rhode Island 8:30 PM ET
Rhode Island can establish the school record for consecutive wins in a season with a victory in Tuesday's Atlantic 10 game against visiting Richmond. With Jared Terrell and E.C. Matthews being held out of double figures for the first time in nearly a year, the bench had to come up big to help the No. 14 Rams push their streak to 15 straight Friday against Davidson.
Virginia at Miami-Florida 9:00 PM ET
Two of the top teams in the ACC try to rebound from weekend losses as No. 3 Virginia visits Miami on Tuesday night. The Cavaliers suffered their first conference loss of the season in a 61-60 overtime setback to Virginia Tech, while the Hurricanes blew a late lead and lost 72-70 at Boston College.
Michigan St at Minnesota 9:00 PM ET
Top-ranked Michigan State looks to continue climbing closer to the top of the Big Ten standings when it visits Minnesota for a conference clash Tuesday. The Spartans edged No. 7 Purdue on Saturday for their eighth straight victory to pull into a second-place tie with the Boilermakers, a game behind Ohio State, while the Golden Gophers have dropped seven in a row after a blowout loss at Indiana on Friday.
Northwestern at Rutgers 9:00 PM ET
Northwestern looks to get back into the win column when it meets Rutgers on the road Tuesday. The Wildcats had won four of their previous five contests, but dropped a 73-57 decision to Maryland on Saturday to see their faint hopes of earning an NCAA Tournament bid go on life support, and they aim to climb back to .500 in Big Ten play by downing the Scarlet Knights for the sixth consecutive time.
South Carolina at Tennessee 9:00 PM ET

No. 17 Tennessee looks to bounce back from its worst loss of the season and preserve its second-place position in the SEC standings when it hosts South Carolina on Tuesday. The Gamecocks have lost five straight, with their last three defeats coming by an average of 21 points.

Louisiana State at Alabama 9:00 PM ET
Alabama looks to follow up one of its best performances of the season and win back-to-back games for the first time in more than three weeks when it hosts improving LSU on Tuesday night in an SEC contest. The Crimson Tide had their offense perking and held Tennessee to just 27.6 percent from the field in a 78-50 demolition Saturday after dropping three of the previous five games.
